The sixth training of the ROBVET project took place from April 16th to 18th, 2024, simultaneously in Lecce, Italy, hosted by Start Smart, and in Bursa, Turkey, coordinated by Hi-Sac. Teachers, technicians, and students from partner institutions participated in advanced sessions focused on integrating the MyCobot280 robot with practical applications in Industry 4.0, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT).<\/span>
\nIn Lecce, Italy (Start Smart):<\/span>
\nPartners from Italy (Start Smart), Spain (IES Pablo de Olavide), Cyprus (Synthesis), and Czech Republic (ARP).<\/span>
\nIn Bursa, Turkey (Hi-Sac):<\/span>
\nPartners from Turkey (Hi-Sac), Poland (CKZ), and Portugal (CEPROF).<\/span>
\nThe training began with an introduction to advanced technologies applied to robotics, positioning the MyCobot280 robot within the context of Industry 4.0. Participants explored its potential for automation processes and its value in vocational education as a tool to equip students with up-to-date technological skills.<\/span>
\nIn Lecce, participants carried out advanced programming exercises with the MyCobot280 robot using Python. Activities focused on applying Artificial Intelligence for pattern recognition and automating specific tasks. Partners explored integrating the robot with external peripherals and intelligent systems, solving practical challenges in robotic manipulation and automated assembly. Collaborative group work encouraged international teamwork and problem-solving.<\/span>
\nSimultaneously in Bursa, participants worked on integrating the MyCobot280 with external sensors and IoT technologies. Practical tests demonstrated the robot\u2019s ability to interact with data systems, process real-time information, and respond to controlled inputs. Combining Arduino with measurement devices allowed participants to showcase practical applications of the robot in home automation and simulated industrial environments. The teams also explored controlling the robot through remote interfaces, demonstrating its potential for automating simple but critical vocational training tasks.<\/span>
\nAt both venues, the training culminated in a presentation of results and group proposals. Participants showcased progress in programming the MyCobot280 robot, integrating peripherals, sensors, and simulation tools. These presentations provided opportunities to evaluate the solutions developed and gather suggestions for improving the demonstrators that each partner will implement in their respective educational centers.<\/span>
\nThe hosts complemented the training with visits to technology centers and cultural activities. In Lecce, participants toured Start Smart\u2019s facilities and enjoyed a guided visit to the city\u2019s historic center, fostering cultural exchange. In Bursa, the attendees visited local vocational training institutions and experienced aspects of Turkey’s cultural heritage.<\/span>
\nThe training concluded with a quality evaluation, where participants highlighted the practical value of the content and the importance of linking cutting-edge technologies with educational environments. Teachers and students agreed that Training C6 marked a significant step forward in integrating robotics and AI into vocational education, consolidating knowledge and strengthening international collaboration among ROBVET partners.<\/span><\/h6>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
