Training 8 – La Carolina (Spain)

(October 8-10, 2024)

..
The eighth and final training of the ROBVET project took place from October 8th to 10th, 2024, in La Carolina, Spain, hosted by the partner IES Pablo de Olavide. This final event brought together teachers, and technicians from all partner institutions, combining practical sessions, presentations of the final demonstrators, and the celebration of a multiplier event aimed at the educational community and the industrial sector.
The training began with an official welcome at IES Pablo de Olavide, where the progress and goals achieved throughout the project were summarized, and the final activities were outlined. Participants carried out a technical review of the MyCobot280, making final adjustments to the demonstrators developed during the project. Each partner presented their final demonstrators, explaining the implemented solutions, their feasibility in vocational training, and their potential for replication in other educational contexts.
The second day focused on advanced technologies related to Industry 4.0, including programming industrial robots such as the ABB IRB 1100 and integrating digital twin simulation and artificial intelligence (AI) tools. Participants engaged in hands-on exercises, connecting the work done with the MyCobot280 to more complex industrial environments, further enhancing its practical application.
On the final day, the multiplier event took center stage, providing a key opportunity to disseminate the results of the ROBVET project. As part of this event, the partners organized a practical workshop, where they presented and showcased their final demonstrators to teachers, students, representatives of the industrial sector, and other stakeholders. Attendees had the opportunity to interact directly with the MyCobot280 robot, observe its functionality in various scenarios, and understand its potential application in vocational education and real-world production processes.
The workshop was a success, fostering dialogue between educators, students, and industry professionals. Attendees emphasized the relevance of collaborative robotics and the potential of the advanced robotic simulator to modernize vocational training across Europe.
The event concluded with a joint evaluation session, where feedback and suggestions for future improvements were collected. Participants received certificates of participation, and a farewell lunch was held to consolidate the bonds among project partners and formally close the ROBVET activities.
The Training C8 not only marked the successful culmination of the project but also validated the final demonstrators in a real environment, demonstrated their pedagogical potential, and ensured their effective implementation in vocational training centers. Additionally, the multiplier event allowed for the dissemination of results to a broader audience, laying the foundation for the sustainability and replicability of the robotic simulator developed during the project.
